Just bought my 1999 Stepwgn (in May 2012), previously been a Mazda Bongo enthusiast ... until the head gasket blew and put it beyond economical repair.

We have been satisfied customers of Lifesure for some time now ... I don't know if they are the cheapest (though on occasions when I have trawled around elsewhere, I have, so far, always ended up coming back to them!).
Even if they are not cheapest ... the customer service has been excellent, and that is 8 years of renewals on several different vehicles.

Worth giving them a try ... and no, I am not on commission!
Just a normal easy going guy. Married, honest, happy ... how did all that happen?! : )

Yes. I've been with lifesure for various camper vans for well over a decade and always found them very competitive.

Just got my renewal from them - up by £20 from last year ... £345 for 2 named drivers with 10yrs NCD. Maybe there still a higher premium for imports as my VW T25 Caravelle 7 seater is only £129!!
Loving the Steppy! ... my other car is also Vantastic!

I was with Groupama - via Mark Richard (used to be Tett Hamilton) - they wanted £579 (one year NCD with them -even though 10 plus with LV for my CR-V) - an increase of £120 from 2010 - 2011. Mark Richard discounted this to £479 which helped, and they had discounted the 2012 - 2011 by about £120 as well.
I've now, after seeing the comments about Lifesure, gone with them - on the first year with them they asked £359 - apparently no NCD as yet, but it has saved me £120 - not to be sneezed at - for the same cover - ful comp, self and spouse, excess £200 and 90 days foreign cover (EU and Switzerland) plus legal cover.
Very satisfactory.

Further to my last post, renewal 2013 - 2014 is £314.30 - now allowing NCD.

2014 renewal £530 - Highway have changed their system - only allow Stepwgn Caravanettes!
Followed Vantastic, and tried Aviva - now insured as a Honda Stepwagon GL S Automatic 4 door estate (exactly as my old one was with Highway). No reference to RF4 or 4WD, just petrol automatic.
Premium, including foreign cover, the minimum excess and permanently protected NCD (and the Credit Card surcharge) now £303.
Lifesure have a superb service, but they have been let down by Highway - I suspect that others may be switching.
Aviva was OK but the web-site did not show up my vehicle by the registration number - the agent on the phone managed it.
The basic comprehensive premium was £197 - but I added various things - second driver, foreign travel, minimum excess for example.
Still cheaper than last year with Highway (£314)
Thanks for the info about Aviva, Vantastic.
