General technical Q&A for the Honda Stepwagon

Rear View Mirror

Postby pete hardy » Fri Sep 07, 2012 5:00 pm

I have knocked ours off climbing over the seat (don't ask). It hasn't broken. I simply need to remove the courtesy light section and re-attach it. But I simply can't remove that panel. I have run my fingers all around the edge and unclipped it... but something in the middle is holding it fast. It simply won't budge. Help!

1) Unclip the lens (from the front) - three bulbs visible. Centre one is the courtesy light, the other two are the lights controlled by the two switches.
2) In the recess for each of the two lateral bulbs there is a deeper recess - this has a cross-head screw in the base.
3) I suspect that these are to hold the light unit in place.
4) With trepidation, try removing them - the light unit should come away - caution with the wires.
5) Good luck!
