I guess these are standard universal bulbs - H4 or H7. You will need to remove them to check. I guess they are the same as those used on CRV's too.

Have a look at http://www.powerbulbs.com/headlight-bulbs.asp?cat1=39

for good price and lots of diagrams to pick the right one from ... I recommend Philips X-treme Power headlight bulbs. :D

RF3 Stepwagons use H4 headlights - I am replacing my standard ones with Osram Night Breaker bulbs ... 90% extra light - I will take some photos of before and after fro those who are interested. I have used Philips x-treme on my other vehicles and have been well impressed.

I also bought some plastic headlamp restorer liquid and this also made a good improvement - just £6.99 from my local car shop but well worth doing. When I was looking at Stepwagons before we bought ours, I noticed a lot of 1996/1997 stepwagons had cloudy headlamps so check yours! :D

Here is a photo showing the comparison which I took as I switched over.

and fully converted (with bonnet open in case you were wondering!)

Let me know if you are changing yours ... you can buy a set of H4 Osram NightBreaker bulbs with free Philips BlueVision W5W side lamp bulbs from http://www.powerbulbs.com/ for around £18 a set (best price I found)

Undoubtedly good for you. What's the effect on people coming in the other direction, though?

Not being critical, just genuinely curious. ;)

Rob - not a problem as long as the lights are properly aligned - the bulbs are legal! (These are not a strong as the BMW HID Xenon Lights that cause a problem for the rest of us  )

Mine has clear lenses at the rear, look good but the problems are that I need to get red capless 12v5w, 12v21/5w and 12v 21w bulbs and yellow 12v21w.
I have seen yellow in Halfords, but I needed to go on the web for the red ones - I went via ebay and found them - 12v5w from <www.styleandperformance.co.uk>, 12v21/5w from <www.3prime-store.com> and the 12v21w from <www.powerfuluk.com> but these were 'clearance'.
I have not seen any 12v18/5w bulbs, but motor-cycle suppliers might have them.

Further to my previous post under the name PAR I have discovered that <www.powerfuluk.com> do both the 12V21/5W bulbs and the 12V21W ones, but not the 21V/5W.
The system failed to recognise me, so I have re-registered as PARR.
