insurance...oops!

Postby hardyfamily » Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:46 pm

Going to have to put the 2g recommendation on hold for a bit.
Got the insurance docs through this morning and need them to verify
something that wasn't mentioned during the quote. Sure it will be sorted.
Will report when they get back to me.

While we're here, we'd like to remove the rear mirror from the tailgate
(quirky, but we won't use it). Can't see how it's attached. No More Nails perhaps???

I find it very useful for parking in tight spaces. Give it a chance before binning it.

Hi all

MIne didn't come with an external rear-view mirror, although it looks as though one may have been removed. It has a rear-view camera next to the rear wiper but I've not managed to display anything on the satnav screen which is where I expected to see something.

I take it then that the rear-view camera is not standard equipment. Any thoughts? It could just be that Wellhouse have disconnected it.

Don't throw yours away hardyfamily.

Regards,

Brian

Thanks for the advice re: the rear view mirror. It's just a vanity thing I guess, it is rather on the large side and we love the shape of our stepwagen. We were thinking of getting rear parking sensors (sprayed to blend in) They stopped me from running over a small child who had wandered behind our Jeep in a dark supermarket car park once and I've been a fan ever since! But we will bow to your experience and keep the mirror on for a while and see how we get on.

Be good if we could attach photos to these messages....

You can but you need to upload them to an internet site such as imageshack or photobucket and then add the link like this ...
