Hi All
Just bought a 2001 Stepwagon camper with 82k on the clock.
This thing goes almost as well as the VW Passat V5 ( 5 cylinder ) I part exchanged for the camper.
Only picked the stepwagon up today, so am like a big fat kid with a new toy, brilliant.

Welcome (belatedly).
Was the 82K km or miles?
Hope you continue to enjoy the 'van.
Tell us more about it - we like to be nosy (speaking for myself!)

Thank you for all the belated welcomes
Well, I purchaced the wagn from a dealer in High Wycombe, who was getting worried about sitting on the Wgn over winter, so the deal was good! part X my trusty old Passat with a 5 cylinder engine, lovely car but boy did it drink.
The Wagn is a 2001 model (RF3) with 82.000 ish miles, it was imported in 2009 and kited out as a camper then, it has a flip over roof, the quality of the conversion is in some parts good in others preaty *beep*.
I noticed that the mains and gas covers on the side of the van did not close properly, and on removal, yes it was a bodge, I have re fitted with new, done some rust proofing and the job is now a good un.

the Wgn is a lovely drive, the enging/gearbox (i-vtec DOHC) seem to go great together, good design, I had 2 new tyres fitted last week 225/45/17, the guys at the tyre shop reconed the springs were aftermarket as they are blue?
Any ideas?

I have just bought a swivel for the passenger seat from Wellhouse Lesuire, so that is the next project, I will update on progress
