Hello club just got a new stepwagon

Postby barney » Wed Oct 12, 2011 10:55 am

Hi
I've just got a Stepwagon with camper conversion was done by 321 away - anyone else got anything simialar / from them.
The model is 1999 RF2 4wd 2l auto, its got the fielddeck pop up roof. Its in white. I've used it on a couple of trips and it drives great far better than a Bongo which I've driven. I haven't seen any since I got mine live in the leeds area! Thinking of fitting a bike rack any advice welcome - towbar or boot. The bumper is plastic on the bottom of boot making many not available as they require a solid thin lip?
Hello all Stepwagon Drivers! :D

Hello Barney

Welcome on board and you might also want to connect via our facebook spot ... http://www.facebook.com/?ref=hp#!/groups/stepwagonclub/

Interesting you have compared it with a Bongo - we also looked at these and decided to go for the Honda instead - mainly from the driving position and ease of rear access from the front. :P

Sorry can't comment on the bike rack ..
Loving the Steppy! ... my other car is also Vantastic!

Welcome.
I've got an unconverted white 1999 RF2 - it's got clear rear lenses and uses coloured bulbs, but does not have a lifting roof - just 2 sun roofs.
Mine was originally full of Japanese VHS, TV and Sat-Nav with CD changers coming out of its ears!
Plenty of tow-bars on e-Bay - not expensive.

Hi Barney

Can you let me know how you get on with the towbar as I've been thinking about it for my RF3 camper conversion.

You may see my Stepwgn around Leeds sometime as my mother lives in Morley.

Regards

Will do - I live just near Ilkley - will buy it from the bay and get the local garage to fit it - next month. I don't get round Morley much but I'll keep a look out good to know one's pretty local! Did you get it from Wellhouse?

Hi Barney

Yes, mine's from Wellhouse.

I've a sister lives in Otley but it's rare that I get there, and three more in the Bradford/Wakefield area. I'm actually near Peterborough.

Best wishes

Brian
