Plastic roof trim

Plastic roof trim

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic roof trim (without breaking it)?

I'm having a problem with water getting inside my conversion and soaking the carpet & timber cupboard sides.

I can't see inside where it's getting in - I think it's behind the fitted cupboard & fridge.

I've ruled-out the pop-top as water's still getting in with the roof down and the rubber seal around the pop-top makes good contact with the roof.

Looking at the campervan roof, there's a gully where the trim meets the roof and the rubber seal between the two isn't continuous; there's a gap in it of about an inch into which rain water will drain. I'm thinking that somehow it's getting inside the van underneath the trim but I can't get it off to see. There's a bolt under each of the covers in the trim but it's still securely held after I remove them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Why not try a flexible silicone mastic sealer? It might stop the water coming in, and could be easily cut though and removed if someone eventually comes up with a better solution!
