RF3?4 - 8" sat-nav screen

RF3?4 - 8" sat-nav screen

Postby PARR » Thu Jun 12, 2014 8:35 pm

My 'new' 2002 RF4 has been delayed by the screen 'going down' - screen replaced by the supplier, but the CD-ROM drive under the seat (which I thought was only for the sat-nav) has burned out. This I am told also controls the air-conditioning and sundry other things.
Has anyone any experience of the ins and outs of the 8" set-up in the RF3/4?
Thanks for help.

Now arrived.
Smashing - I can now see why those with the later Steppies love them.
The 8" Sat-nav screen shows the manual air-conditioning settings, a clock (4 hours behind) and can also switch to TV - I did hear some English sound-track without a picture while 'playing'.
As the radio (Japanese settings) is also a mini-disc player, not CD, I had hoped that, as the handbook indicates, I could connect my CD magazine - not so - no connections.
I dare not play too much as the whole radio, air-conditioning and sat-nav systems are so integrated (not to mention the reversing camera).
Does anyone know how to set the time on the screen?
