O2 (lambda) sensor for 2002 RF4

Has anyone any knowledge of a source of similar O2 sensors to this one? jp-carparts are charging $249.
I cannot find an equivalent either by NGK or Denso.

Hi David

I have to admit that I wouldn't know an o2 lambda sensor if I fell over one, but when I input my 2001 rf3 reg on eurocarparts.com it returned two choices ~ MTE @ £69.99 or Bosch @ £114.99. Even Halfords returned 3 ~ HAAS @ £61.52, Denso @ £78.28 and Bosch @ £110.60.

I'd be surprised if a part like that was specific to a stepwgn. Wouldn't a Honda garage supply one if you knew the part no?

Regards

Hi, Brian,
Good to see you're still around!
Much research csame up with your info, but ALL of them had different connectors or required expert wiring.
Honda, bless them, refused to supply.
End result - jp-carparts.com.
After their sending of the catalyser heat shields - a Monday to a Friday!! I was delighted with the same level of despatch for the sensor - Monday to Friday!
Problem - £211.00
Had to put up with it because no other supplier - Singapore firms had no stock (would have had to get in - same price).

Hi David

I read both this group and the facebook group most days when I'm at home but I can't contribute much as I leave all servicing and repairs to a local garage. When my radiator fan switch failed recently they obtained the part from a Honda dealer. I told them they were lucky getting Honda to supply it and they answered that they're probably more accommodating to a garage than an end user. I'm sure however that the garage could have obtained a compatible part for a fraction of what Honda charged if they'd known the part number.

Best wishes

Brian

Hi, Brian,
I think I posted elsewhere about a replacement radiator - Honda not helpful, but my garage found an identical one in Denmark - made there!
Cheaper than Honda.
All the best,
David.
