thermostat

Hi everyone.
Has anyone replaced the thermostat? Is it in the top or the bottom hose? The top doesn't look big enough from the outside and I don't want to start taking off the bottom one for nothing.

I've owned a largo, and a Toyota before the Steppy. No comparison, can't understand why Honda don't bring these in, they are by far the best of the 3 Jap Day Vans. The engines in the right place for a start!

As the thermostat is supposed to be in the 'hot' leg, I would anticipate its being in the top hose.

A phone call to a Honda dealer should get the answer - the engine is the same as in the CR-V of the same year.

I agree, I've never seen a thermostat in the bottom hose either. But the top connection really isn't big enough! Also have read on several Honda sites now that some models do have them in the bottom one, how strange! I'll follow your advice and phone the local agent after the holiday.
