100V power outlet

Having now used the 100V/100W outlet for the cool-box via the 'Chinese electronics' I can report.
The transformer works perfectly, there is no switch for the outlet, but it is 'ON' all the time the engine is actually running, dropping out when the engine stops.
It has not enough 'welly' for two transformers, and just goes 'OFF' on overload, resetting itself after removing the overload situation and restarting the engine.

The 100v/100w outlet will not supply 2 cool-boxes - it cuts out, and resets itself on restarting the engine.
I used it with one cool-box and a semi-portable CD player - connected as follows -
100v socket > transformer (down to 12V) >inverter (12v to 230V) > transformer (230V to 4.5V) > CD player - believe it or not, it worked.
The radio etc. in the RF4 has no aux input other than the video input, so I used an FM converter to connect the CD player headphone output to the radio - again, worked a treat.

Good to know .. our RF3 does not have any power outlet in the rear - I wonder if the wiring loom is there but have not investigated behind the panels yet :)
